FDA designation for the Artimis lateral system

The lateral Artimis Meniscus Prosthesis, our implant for replacing the lateral meniscus, has received significant recognition.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Breakthrough Device Designation to the lateral Artimis. This status accelerates the path to market authorisation in the United States, by far the largest orthopaedic market in the world. The recognition marks an important milestone on the road to effective pain relief and a better quality of life for knee patients.

In addition, ATRO Medical is working on the medial Artimis Meniscus Prosthesis, intended for replacement of the medial meniscus. ATRO has previously also received Breakthrough Device Designation for this product.
